Work-based learning (WBL) and Youth Apprenticeship (YA) opportunities need to be launched in all schools for ALL learners.  WBL and YA provide students with real-world experience in career areas of their choice.  This exploration can help students rule in and out future career options along with the development of an individualized program of study consisting of related course work, dual credit opportunities, participation in student organizations and the potential to earn industry-recognized credentials.  WBL and YA are ways to launch gifted learners into their future career paths.
